All I wanted to do was to remove syncing and OneDrive copies not fucking delete everything off my hard drive. If you accidently delete multiple files or all your files in OneDrive, you have the option to restore your entire OneDrive back to a specific point in time. There are no Folders under OneDrive folder (as expected) but now even if I got to PC > My documents - there's abosultely nothing there anymore. All dektop files, documents, pictures, work stuff gone. Turns out it fucking rips everything off my hard drive. The whole process takes about 30 mins even though I have blazing fast PC & internet. See OneDrive icon start syncing next to the clock, click on it and see over 12k instances being updated. You can securely store, share, and sync your work files across all your devices, and access them from. Decide that I don't need all my default MS folders & desktop being synced all the time so go over, select all 5 of the folders and click delete thinking it will just un-link them & delete the synced copies stored on OneDrive leaving everything I had on the physical PC hard drive intact. OneDrive is an integral part of Microsoft 365. Didn't think much of it.Ī month goes by and I decide to check how much of the 1TB has been taken up. Noticed that under the OneDrive folder there were Documents, Pictures, Music, Desktop and Email attachment default folders being synced as well. Bought a 365 subscription as well so had 1TB of storage available. A month ago bought a new PC that came with OneDrive pre-installed.
